BWB & BEDA Introduce Promo Pal

As we know, BWB has educated our small business community on the benefits ofnetworking. The greatest benefit in this networking has been ‘community businessawareness’ and given the opportunity of gathering twice a month, sharing our 30-secondcommercials it has provided us the ‘ultimate in word of mouth marketing.’And we have all worked together to support keeping our dollars in Grand County with thepromotion of the ‘3/50 Project… Saving the Brick & Mortars Our Nation is Built On.’(the350project.net)Now BWB in conjunction with BEDA would like to reintroduce the “Promo Pal’ project toeducate our small businesses in the benefits of cross promotion. We would like to seebusinesses support other businesses in promotions, sharing customers and whenpossible splitting expenses.We have scheduled a ‘Brown Bag’ lunch on Thursday, June 24th at the Granby TownHall where we can gather to brainstorm ideas and provide the opportunity forbusinesses to ‘Promo Pal Contract’ with one another and begin the process of crosspromotion to the benefit of both and all!Give some thought as to the type of business that would be best suited for you and yourbusiness to cross promote recreation/entertainment; retail (store front, home based,website); restaurant/catering; service or lodging, etc.We’ll do a drawing of Promo Pal Participants based on business-type so that everyone ispaired properly, then you can sit down with your new “Pal” and make plan.And let’s be creative, have fun and brainstorm the possibilities…• A lodging property offers a free appetizer at a restaurant when the client stays for anight.• Retail outlet placing a discount card in the customer’s shopping bag for a lodgingproperty, rafting trip, restaurant, horseback ride, fishing guide, plumbing service, graphicdesign and in return each of those businesses has a discount card for the retail store.• Sharing the cost of an ad in the paper or other print collateral to cross promote one ormore businesses.• Cross promoting on our business facebook pages.The ideas are endless whether you are a restaurant, lodging property, retail, recreationor service.Then utilize the ‘Promo Pal Contract’ to outline your promotion, and make sure toshare your challenges and successes on the BWB Facebook page!
