Energy Audit Equipment

On June 1,  BEDA submitted a $9400 grant request for energy audit  equipment to the Governor’s Energy Office . Originally we had thought that there would be an application submitted from a local  business. Due to time constraints and the potential for collaboration BEDA submitted the application instead. The equipment is for residential and small commercial energy audits in Grand and Jackson Counties. If the application is successful, BEDA will make the equipment available to certified contractors and establish guidelines for its use. We anticipate that the equipment will be used to support energy audits in Grand and Jackson Counties and the energy component of the Green Star program.  If an energy audit program is identified as a priority in the regional energy planning process, BEDA will work with the towns, counties, utilities, IW, GRRC, Green Star  and Ranges and Rivers to develop a coordinated energy audit program.
